It all begins with a burden.
Good Samaritan International Charities was born out of the heart and vision of Pastor P.K. & Suma Thomas. With a passion for education and a life dedicated to serving communities in India, they began their journey in 1983 by starting the first English medium school in Amreli, Gujarat. Their work then shifted to Uttar Pradesh, where they planted churches along with Pastor Stephen & Pastor Barbara Harvell. They experienced first-hand and witnessed the sacrifices missionaries make to serve others.
Suma, being a teacher, always valued education as a cornerstone of a strong, empowered future. She realized that many families face immense financial pressure when it comes to higher education. Suma had a burden to help missionary children access the education they deserve. Thus, Good Samaritan International Charities was established to support the children of missionaries, starting in India and with the goal of expanding globally.
